Leather Working

Following a successful career in brand, design and theatre, Mia Sabel left her job in the City to retrain as a Saddler. Once qualified, a QEST Scholarship enabled her to expand on this training and augment her range of skills, products and services, and a Walpole Crafted Mentorship allowed her to explore and focus on her unique bespoke fitted watch strap service.

Rooted in traditional craftsmanship and based in the Highlands of Scotland, Mia Sabel makes works of leather beauty, inspired by her background in theatre, brand and design. She offers her customers the experience of creating a bespoke leather watch strap or fob watch holder – each creation is individually conceived and hand-crafted to complement a client’s treasured timepiece. Her unique fitting service ensures that a customer’s strap, like a bespoke suit, is fitted to them perfectly.

Her work also includes bespoke leather design, leather repair and restoration, prototyping, product development and consultation, small batch production and branded corporate bespoke projects.

Mia's work has been showcased in Fortnum & Mason, Holland & Holland, Buckingham Palace and at The Goodwood Festival of Speed.
