I have been making jewellery since 1990 when I started my apprenticeship as a gold and silversmith In Cologne/Germany. After my apprenticeship I went on to study Jewellery and Product Design at the University of Applied Science in Düsseldorf. In 2002 I moved to the UK and two years later I started up my own business with a Crafts Council setting up grant.

I work independently as a jewellery designer/maker and have my studio at Coburg House Art Studios in Edinburgh.

My work is inspired by classical jewellery and elegant simplicity. The simplicity of my designs however often belies a subtle re-interpretation or re-invention of a found object or traditional jewellery classic. Typical materials are gold, silver, precious stones and mixed media.
