Alison Kinnaird has an international reputation for her work in glass and music. She has combined ancient engraving traditions with modern techniques and lighting technology, to explore contemporary subjects. From small, intimate pieces to large architectural projects, her work can be seen in public and private collections worldwide, such as the V&A Museum, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the Alexander Tutsek Foundation, Munich, and the Corning Museum of Glass, NY.

This is an open studio exhibition, for which she will open the converted church that has been her workplace for forty years. It is twelve miles south of Edinburgh, in the historic village of Temple, headquarters of the Knights Templar in the 14th century. Their ruined church stands opposite Shillinghill Studios in this beautiful rural setting.

If people would prefer a private view, this can be arranged, and appointments made by telephone are welcome during August and thereafter.
