These weekend woodturning courses are taught by Adam Stone, the School’s Woodturning specialist. The fun and informative weekends are some of the School's most accessible courses, giving students a first point of entry into woodworking, with a focus on woodturning and round joinery. It is also designed to be scalable, so that students can then apply their skills to a variety of other projects. During the weekend, students will make a stool or plant stand with a wooden turned top and three legs. Students will learn how to work a lathe whilst being introduced to a wide range of different tools and techniques. They will also learn how to make tenons, tapered legs, sand and finish on the lathe.
