This workshop will be a combination of demonstration and hands-on practical sessions. A variety of decorative techniques will be covered, including: graphite, sprinkled gold, self-coloured, transfer print, gold tooling and mixed media. Students will create a batch of sample edges on supplied bookblocks which can then be used as a reference for future projects.
Maximum class size of 5 students. All materials provided.
This is one of a series of bookbinding workshops to be held at Courtyard Studios Bindery, Irvine. The bindery is fully equipped with work stations for up to 6 students and is well stocked with bookbinding tools and materials The Courtyard Studios are easy to reach by road or rail (just over 30 minutes from Glasgow Central) with ample free parking
