Spend a day constructing a hardback fabric covered book with exposed spines and decorative stitching. Our resident Bookbinder Cass Barron will take you through the process step-by-step with lots of ideas on how to incorporate remnant fabric, leather or pleather, decorative papers, beads, buttons, threads and ribbons into your book to give it it’s own unique style.
This style of book makes for a great sketchbook or journal with lots of opportunity to personalise, so they make great gifts too! In the workshop you will make an A6 landscape book – Cass will share advice and follow up info on how to scale up and down should you wish to make more books of different shapes and sizes at home.
