Join Cass to create a hardback book with exposed French Link Stitch Bookbinding, incorporating multiple ribbons into the spine and remnant fabric or paper into the cover. This book opens up nice and flat making for a great sketchbook or journal, with lots of opportunity to personalise. You’ll also explore how to include envelopes and pockets into your book – making it a great book structure for sketching, notes and keeping treasures.
Over the course of the day you will make an A6 size landscape or portrait book and learn how to scale up and down should you want to create the same style of book in different shapes and sizes at home. You will leave the workshop with a finished book that makes for a great sketchbook, gardening journal and/or notebook, as well as the skills and confidence to carry on bookbinding at home.
