Join artist Cass for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of handmade paper making. Cass will guide you through her process for transforming remnant papers and pressed botanicals into richly textured, one-of-a-kind sheets – each with its own unique character and story. It’s a slow, mindful and deeply rewarding way to create something new from materials that might otherwise be discarded.
You’ll begin by learning the basics of papermaking, experimenting with pulps, colours and textures to understand how different fibres behave. As the session progresses, you’ll have the chance to personalise your creations by embedding words, seeds, petals and pressed botanicals into the sheets – producing delicate, tactile papers that are as beautiful to hold as they are to look at.
Your finished collection will be perfect for bookbinding, collage, printmaking, or simply displaying as works of art in their own right.
