This 3-hour workshop is for anyone who is interested in three-dimensional geometric form and working with paper as a base material. Suitable for crafters, origami enthusiasts and designers, beginners as well as the more experienced. You will be introduced to the basic principles of paperfolding and you will learn all the necessary skills and techniques required to create a range of structures.
All tools and papers will be provided. You will also be introduced to a brief history of folding and the work of several contemporary paper and origami artists to examine how folding is used in fashion, architecture and design. By the end of the workshop you will have the knowledge and confidence to fold independently and experiment further, just for fun or to apply your new skills to your own practice.
