Join us for a colour filled weekend of screen printing, introducing you to a variety of immediate, fun and experimental processes for textile printing. We'll use open mesh and prepared screens with water based inks, learn how to mix opaque and transparent colour, create colour blends and explore painterly mono printing. You can bring your own drawings, sketches and images and we’ll chat through the appropriateness of image and how best to interpret it into a design for print. You’ll plan and cut your own designs to apply to your fabric using paper stencils, with the option of adding a bit of extra bling using decorative metallic highlights. By the end of the weekend you will have a vibrant collection of prints, ready to frame, gift, make into products or use as part of a development portfolio.
