Following Visit Scotland’s theme for 2022 “Scottish Stories”, the theme for the exhibition is “Stories” with each potter asked to create work around a central story which could be anything from the history of pottery to the source of their inspiration to work with clay.
All the stories will be displayed alongside the ceramic works in the exhibition. As a result of the wide theme, a superb range of work will be on display and all will be available for purchase. From colorful thrown tableware including mugs, plates, bowls, and vases, to hand-built sculptures of human and animal forms, playful miniature houses, and even wall hangings. From earthenware to porcelain, from wood-fired to raku-fired pieces, the fullest range of ceramic works is on offer.
The Scottish Potters Association are delighted that The Barony have been able to accommodate such a large exhibition from talented members including, Rona Slevin, Moira Ferguson and Jim Bassett.
