The Great Scottish Basket Cases

A weekend of basket-making. Green Aspirations Scotland host the best weavers and trainers from across Scotland, offering workshops across the weekend.

From borders to creels to bodkins, there will be the opportunity to view baskets from all angles, exploring different materials, and discussing all things weaving.

You’ll buy a ticket for the event (either one day or the full weekend) and then pay for individual workshops, so you can tailor the experience to your needs. Different trainers will be offering short, full-day, and weekend workshops, so you can dip in or learn something in detail. All levels of experience will be catered for, so whether you’re an expert or a complete beginner, you’ll gain the skills and techniques you need to move on in your crafting journey. You can camp on a woodland site for a small additional fee, and choose to cook for yourself or go for a catered option, enjoying food cooked over the campfire. Green Aspirations Scotland's craft events are small, friendly and fun events, where you’ll meet like-minded people and learn new skills.
