VAS Artist & Maker Market

A new contemporary art and craft market is set to take place in August 2025 at Dalkeith Palace and Country Park. The event will feature 110 stalls presenting a wide range of artworks and crafts by artists and makers from across Scotland.

This Artist & Makers Market, organised by Visual Arts Scotland, marks the organisation’s first event beyond its established programme of exhibitions, residencies, and awards since its founding over 100 years ago. The historic Dalkeith Palace, located seven miles from Edinburgh, will host the market both indoors and across the surrounding country park. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse and purchase works, meet the artists, and enjoy curated exhibitions within the venue.
