The classes will focus on weaving a fabric length. This could be a finished wearable scarf piece, or a series of samples in which you can explore differing weaving structures using a common warp.
Participants will be led through the weaving process, with yarn types being discussed from a choice of merino, shetland and cheviot, as well as drape and handle being explored through a series of provided samples. The warping process will be completed on a warping mill, with instructions given on how to dress a 4-shaft Ashford table loom, all with the guidance of James Donald.
