10:00am - 6:30pmHARVEST: A Longer Table is a special one-day event, designed for makers to come together to celebrate contemporary craft.
23 September 2026, 10am-6.30pm
Our title derives from a modern idiom: ‘if you have more than enough for yourself––build a longer table, not a higher wall’. This sets an intention for us to come together as a community, appreciating and celebrating the wisdom we have to share with one-another, and to look forward to what the future may bring.
Our event takes place in partnership with The Free Company, a regenerative farm who will prepare a very special seasonal farm-to-table Harvest lunch of organic, local produce served in a communal atmosphere at the foot of the Pentland hills.
September 23rd is the autumn equinox, marking the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere when the Sun sits directly above the Earth's equator. On this day, the lengths of day and night are nearly equal. Building on the success of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair, we’ve chosen this date to present an exciting series of talks moderated by journalist and writer Debika Ray, complemented by workshops, tours and craft-related activities.
More details will follow soon. For now, we warmly invite you to save the date for a day of craft, conversation and shared celebration.
We hope to welcome a diverse mix of contemporary craft makers from across Scotland. As places are limited, if you'd like to join us, please REGISTER HERE
We'll be in touch soon with next steps towards booking. Registration is no-obligation and does not guarantee a ticket.
