Craft Scotland showcased eleven established and talented craft makers from Scotland at SOFA, the premier gallery-presented art fair in Chicago. Scotland is justly proud of its reputation as one of the most skilled and diverse craft nations in the world, and this was reflected in the wealth of craft we presented at SOFA.

Our collection gave audiences in Chicago the opportunity to see and buy some of the finest examples of ceramics, glass, wood, textiles, silver and jewellery from Scotland. Some of our makers were familiar to SOFA visitors, while others were exhibiting at SOFA for the first time. Their exceptional work covered a broad range of techniques and practices, and demonstrated the breadth and quality of Scottish contemporary craft.

Critically acclaimed and continuously running since 1994, the Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design (SOFA) Fair in Chicago is the premier gallery-presented art fair dedicated to three-dimensional art and design. On par with Art Basel and TEFAF Maastricht, SOFA is produced by Urban Expositions, a Clarion Events company.

SOFA is held annually in the autumn at Chicago's major destination, Navy Pier, with an average of 80 dealers and 35,000 people attending.
