Craft Scotland is looking for three people to join our dynamic team and fulfil exciting roles supporting and promoting Scottish contemporary craft.

Established in 2008, Craft Scotland is the leading charity for contemporary craft. In our role as the national development agency, our vision is to make Scotland a place where craft’s vital role in our society is recognised as culturally important and essential to our economy.

We are looking for a Creative Director, Marketing Co-ordinator and a Learning Manager to join our team and help deliver our vibrant programme.



Creative Director

Craft Scotland is seeking a Creative Director to lead on our Presenting Craft Programme.

Over the past 17 years, Craft Scotland exhibitions, showcases and awards have helped to establish the reputation for creative skill and ambition in Scottish contemporary craft.

We are looking for a Creative Director who will shape high profile, ambitious public events nationally and internationally, and support makers, curators and other craft professionals for the benefit of the craft sector in Scotland.

This new role is a rare opportunity for someone with a passion for craft and proven industry experience to help shape the next chapter of Craft Scotland’s programme and wider work across the craft sector.

Interview date: 8 / 9 September (date tbc)

Salary: £40,000 gross per annum

Contract type: Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Marketing Co-ordinator

The Communications & Digital team at Craft Scotland believes in the power of storytelling to resonate with audiences. We are looking for a Marketing Co-ordinator to help us deliver marketing and PR campaigns to a high-standard, promoting the vibrant year-long programme that Craft Scotland delivers. 

Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing Co-ordinator will play an instrumental part in helping increase engagement with existing and new audiences, supporting management of a strong brand presence for Craft Scotland and contributing to our wider advocacy goals.

Salary: £27,810 gross per annum (£22,248 pro rata)

Contract type: Part-Time (28 hours / 4 days per week)

Learning Manager

Craft Scotland is seeking a Learning Manager to deliver our Learning and Engagement programme, which plays an important role in supporting professional development across the craft sector.

This new role will develop and expand the current successful programme, which includes skills development and mentoring for individuals, sector learning programmes, talks and conferences and national partnership projects.

Interview date: 29 / 30 September (date tbc)

Salary: £30,766 gross per annum

Contract type: Full-Time (35 hours per week).
