Apply Now for Visual Artists and Craft Makers (VACMA) - Winter 2021-22

Visual  Artists and Craft Makers across the country are invited to apply for VACMA bursaries for their creative development.

The Visual Artist and Craft Makers Awards (VACMA) are a programme of small grants schemes delivered with a range of local authorities and art agencies across Scotland to support Scotland-based visual artists and craft makers in their creative development.

Established by Creative Scotland, these partnerships give support at a local level and work with local panels to offer funds to support practitioners at all stages of their career who have demonstrated a commitment to their work and in developing their practice through new work, new skills or new opportunities.

Applicants can apply for fixed bursaries of £500 and £750.

The VACMA scheme is administered locally by partners and covers the following 24 local authority areas: Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Argyll and Bute, Ayrshire (North, South and East), City of Edinburgh, Dundee, East Lothian, Fife (including Peth and Kinross), Forth Valley, Glasgow, Highlands (including Moray and Western Isles) , North Lanarkshire, Orkney,  Renfrewshire, South of Scotland (Borders and Dumfries & Galloway) and Shetland Islands. Local Authorities interested in developing a local scheme, are invited to contact: visualarts@creativescotland.com

The deadlines for applications are:

  • Autumn: 5pm, Tuesday 26 October 2021
  • Winter: 5pm, Tuesday 1 February 2022
