SUH MOONJU’s creative practice interests are drawn from contrasting emotional states and how they can be expressed in glass, a unique artistic medium. She also explores playfulness within her creative practice by taking a kitschy approach in developing her glass artworks. MOONJU is inspired by Kidult toy culture and adultescent behaviour which she uses to inform her work. Her hope is that her artwork gives the viewer a feeling of joy and playfulness.
MOONJU is currently undertaking a PhD in Design (Glass) at the Edinburgh College of Art and recently exhibited at the British Glass Biennale (2022) and Collect 2022 with North Lands Creative.
