Workshops

I deliver hands-on Turkish Ebru (paper marbling) workshops for adults, families, schools, community organisations, and creative groups. Participants are introduced to the history and cultural significance of Ebru before learning traditional techniques using natural pigments, gum tragacanth, horsehair brushes, and combs. Every participant creates their own unique marbled papers to take home.

My workshops are designed to be accessible to complete beginners while remaining engaging for returning participants. They encourage creativity, mindfulness, and experimentation through the unpredictable movement of colour on water. I can adapt sessions for small groups, larger public events, festivals, museums, galleries, and educational settings, providing all materials and equipment required.

Lecturing & Talks

I am available to give talks on the history, cultural heritage, and contemporary practice of Turkish Ebru. My presentations explore the relationship between traditional craft, contemporary design, and book arts, while sharing my experience as an artist working between Turkey and Scotland. Talks can include live demonstrations, audience questions, and discussions about preserving traditional crafts in a modern context.

Curating

Although I have not yet curated a formal exhibition, I have experience presenting and exhibiting my work in creative and community settings. I am interested in developing collaborative exhibitions that explore paper, book arts, and cultural heritage through contemporary craft practice.
