Are you looking to extend your wardrobe, learn new skills, save money whilst also saving the planet? Join the Edinburgh Remakery 4-week Wardrobe Surgery course and learn practical ways to modify and upcycle the clothes you have, so you don't have to buy new!

This 4-part workshop will be running every Tuesday 18.30-20.00 from 23rd February-16th March 2021

Through live and pre-recorded tutorials, and using Google Classroom, expert tutor Monika will teach you a range of skills including: 

  • Simple garment alterations
  • Techniques for mending
  • Design basics and redesign processes

For each session you will need:

  • Scissors
  • Needles
  • Cotton thread
  • Pins
  • Tape measure

A sewing machine is optional but not essential. No previous knowledge or skills in sewing or textiles is needed to join this workshop, beginners welcome!

About the facilitator:

This online course is led by Monika Fejes of Remode Collective - an award-winning social enterprise set up to explore ways to re-purpose textiles locally and build new skills, while celebrating multicultural diversity.
