Showcasing work from the Angus community wood fired kiln Agnes Agus Angus, and potters from Japan, Brazil, USA, Portugal, Germany, England & Scotland.
Presented by a local group who fire pots together, the group of Angus potters erected a kiln and have been firing it for 5 years, learning as they go. Six months ago they constructed a fast fire kiln at Hospitalfield in Arbroath. Through working together (firing over 12-18 hours) they are also building community.
The aim of this exhibition is to explain the process of firing clay with wood, to encourage an understanding, and valuing of the results, and inspire others by showing what can be achieved by a group of people working together on a creative project.
