In this 2.5 hour workshop you will be guided through the process of Jesmonite casting, learning how to create a set of 4x Christmas Bauble decorations.
You will use Jesmonite AC100, a versatile water-based eco-resin that is a solvent-free, safe, and easy to use alternative to traditional resins, plaster, and concrete.
You will learn:
-
How to mix and cast with Jesmonite using easy to source silicone moulds
-
How to pigment Jesmonite with your own choice of colours
-
How to cast 4x different finishes for your Christmas Bauble set - 1x plain colour, 1x marble effect, 1x inlay and 1x splatter effect
-
How to wet sand and finish your pieces
-
How to seal your pieces for longevity at home with your own seal-at-home kit to take away
This workshop is aimed at beginners so no previous experience working with Jesmonite is necessary. All materials and equipment needed for the activity is provided.
