Join silversmith Jill Leventon for a two-day corrugation and enamelling workshop exploring sculptural metalworking and colourful vitreous enamel. Learn how corrugation transforms sheet metal into lightweight, textured forms before bringing them to life with vibrant enamel.
Corrugation, sometimes known as micro-folding, is a fascinating technique that creates delicate ridges and folds in sheet metal. As well as producing beautiful surface textures, corrugation also strengthens the metal, allowing you to create lightweight sculptural forms that would be difficult to achieve using flat sheet alone.
Working with copper throughout the weekend, you’ll learn how to create a variety of corrugated forms before bringing them to life with both transparent and opaque enamels.
Suitable for jewellers with some previous making experience, this workshop is ideal for anyone looking to expand their creative repertoire. No previous enamelling experience is required.
