Give old biscuit and sweet tins a bright new life in this one-day workshop with metalwork artist Philippa Johnston. Go big and bold with funky shapes or opt for something more intricate and naturalistic. Templates will be available with paper on hand if you’d like to work with your own drawings. Plus there’ll be plenty of examples for inspiration. This is a great introduction to working with recycled tin – how to open up a tin and cut safely, use a sand cushion for distressing, work with templates, and more. All materials and tools will be supplied
Philippa Johnston is a metalwork artist based in Dunning in Perthshire who works sculpturally with recycled tin, wire, clay and other materials. Instagram @philippajohnston257
