The exhibition room in Double Door Studios has been turned into a Festive Boutique for the run up to Christmas and filled full of beautiful items made by talented independent designer makers and artists.
Products on offer range from ceramic, jesmonite and wooden homewares to cosy woolen textiles, original art and prints to soaps and lip balms, and the hot gift for 2020....handmade face masks!
Alongside this is work by residents: candles by The Candle Bothy, frames and hand marbled mounts by HungUp Frames, contemporary jewellery by Islay Spalding, Christina Vernon, Holly McAfee and ieva jankovska.
Money will be raised for Dundee Women’s Aid during the event with a charity raffle. The residents of the studios are keen to engage with the local community and help others at this time. Raffle tickets are available to buy at the Festive Boutique and are available online here - bit.ly/ddsfbraffle
. The prizes have been donated by the residents and include silver jewellery and candles.
To keep everyone safe in these times; hourly slots with six people visiting at any one time must be booked through Eventbrite here - doubledoorstudios.eventbrite.co.uk
each slot lasts 45 mins giving time to clean between groups of visitors. You are encouraged to visit in your household or extended household bubbles and are required to wear face coverings.
