As gifting season approaches, and in celebration of the wealth of outstanding product on offer within their local community, Custom Lane brings you their 2020 gift edit. The project is driven by the will to encourage and support a collective and increasing desire to shop locally and sustainably.
The edit features work by emerging and established contemporary practitioners and independent stores across the mediums of woodwork, product design, jewellery, ceramics, glass, photography, printed matter, skincare, cloth and botanicals.
At what is a hugely testing time, the community’s support will be keenly felt by these wonderfully creative, adaptive and resilient individuals and teams, with each purchase contributing to sustaining their practice.
The full edit can be viewed at Custom Lane's reception retail unit, HRBR. The items featured are display only, with the place of origin of each piece noted. Purchase is made directly through the maker or store.
For those unable to visit, Custom Lane have created a series of still life images featuring product from each participant. Please refer to the corresponding captions and list below as way-finding to the respective makers and stores.
