Introduction to Bronze Casting is a weekend course that offers participants the opportunity to learn about mould making techniques through creating a low relief plasticine pattern and from this develop a simple sand mould.

Participants will then go on to learn multiple-piece mould making, bronze chasing techniques including polishing and cutting and an introduction to basic patina.

Participants will be given the opportunity to assist in the bronze pour and there will be a demonstration of other casting materials including green sand, petro-bond and a brief introduction to lost-wax casting.

If you have any suggestions, questions or requirements relating to accessibility at SSW, please get in touch and they will make every effort to support you to visit.
