Marking 7 years since Jorum's collaboration with glass artist Juli Bolaños-Durman on the Wild Flowers Collection, The Shape of Scent presents a curated installation of glass sculptures inspired by Jorum’s Progressive Botany Vol. I perfume range.
A conversation between Jorum’s Chloe Mullen and Juli Bolaños-Durman will be led by Craft Scotland’s Stacey Hunter on Wednesday at 3pm, followed by a demonstration with a cocktail reception from 4-6pm. Entry to the showcase is free, but the talk and reception are ticketed.
Exhibition open Tuesday 12 May, 11am – 6pm, and Wednesday 13 May, 11am – 3pm (no ticket required)
Ticketed event: Wednesday 13 May
3pm: Welcome, talk and demonstration
4pm – 6pm: Cocktail reception
The objects on display embody the rich, raw and bountiful nature of wildflowers and our natural environment. Brought to life by deconstructing discarded glass, Juli reconfigures the elements through play, embellishing them with decadent layers of hand-cut details.
The Wild Flowers Collection became a catalyst for the initiation of the Jorum Craft Award in 2020, an annual craft award delivered by Craft Scotland in partnership with Jorum Studio.
