Business Briefings: Fair Work

Learn about the Scottish Government’s Fair Work Program in this new A&BS Business Briefing online event series.

Closing date: 29 Jun 2022

The covid pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we work. The Scottish Government and other funders, in response, are urging all sectors to take action by adopting innovative, holistic and person-centred approaches to tackle these challenges and invest in the future of work that is fairer, more inclusive, ethical and sustainable.

Fair Work First is the Scottish Government's policy for driving high quality and fair work across the labour market by applying fair work criteria to grants, other funding and contracts being awarded by and across the public sector. It requires employers to go beyond statutory employment rights and protections and adopt fair work practices within their organisations.

In this session, Barry Nichol and Rohini Shah from Anderson Strathern solicitors will explore the program and what it means for your organisation.
