South House Silver Workshop Trust: Silversmithing Graduate Apprenticeship Scholarship 2021

The South House Silver Workshop Trust is now accepting applications for the Silversmithing Graduate Apprenticeship Scholarship 2021.

In partnership with the Goldsmiths’ Company, the South House Silver Workshop Trust, a postgraduate residential centre for aspiring silversmiths, is now accepting applications for the Silversmithing Graduate Apprenticeship Scholarship 2021. The apprenticeship scholarship will be hosted by renowned silversmiths and Liverymen of the Goldsmiths’ Company, Rod Kelly & Brett Payne.

The scholarships will give two silversmiths the opportunity to learn a variety of silversmithing skills and receive one-to-one mentorship. Travel, accommodation and tuition fees will be covered by the grant. The placements will be divided into two periods of intensive residential workshop experience one silversmith will spend two months in Shetland with Rod Kelly and the other two months in Sheffield with Brett Payne - after two months the scholars will swap workshops. The tuition provided will enable the successful applicants to produce several pieces of silver for a forthcoming exhibition.
