Join us for an inspiring evening with renowned Italian curator Alice Stori Liechtenstein, a true powerhouse in the craft world. Discover her innovative approaches to commissioning craft as the Curator and Director of Schloss Hollenegg for Design, a remarkable 12th-century castle turned cultural institution in Hollenegg, Austria.

Part of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair, this unique event will feature a 40-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A session. Alice will offer invaluable insights into how she curates the programmes at the prestigious Schloss Hollenegg for Design, revealing how its distinctive residency program has impacted the practices of the participating designers and makers.

Alice Stori Liechtenstein is specialised in design and applied arts with a focus on glass and ceramics, and has curated exhibitions for fairs, design festivals, galleries and museums. She is a public speaker and is regularly invited to design juries including DEZEEN, Archiproducts and LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize.

Schloss Hollenegg for Design is a cultural institution founded by Alice Stori Liechtenstein in 2015 to support the growth and understanding of design culture. By creating a space and a place for design research, thinking and critique, Schloss Hollenegg for Design offers a stage to talented, emerging designers. 

This event is part of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair taking place at Edinburgh’s City Art Centre from Saturday 11 – Sunday 19 October 2025. Curated by Stacey Hunter and featuring the work of 80 exceptional makers from across Scotland, the Fair reimagines the traditional craft fair model through a dynamic interweaving of showrooms, exhibition zones and retail environments.
