In this one-and-a-half-day workshop, Angela Steel will introduce you to the art of traditional stained glass where you’ll create a stained glass panel to hang in your window. Learn to cut, paint, lead, and solder glass with confidence as you design and create your own unique panel. This hands-on workshop covers fundamental glass painting and leading techniques, guiding you from concept to completion.
One day 1, Angela will guide you to design your piece, cut glass, and paint your designs onto the glass. Choose your own motif to work from, it can be anything that inspires you … a favourite flower, tree, animal or even an autumn/Halloween/Christmas scene/motif that you can hang in your window each year. Don’t worry if you don’t think you’re artistic, as Angela will have lots of designs for you to choose from, and you’ll be able to trace your chosen design using a light pad. Or you can draw your own design. Your pieces will be kiln-fired overnight, and on day 2, you’ll lead and solder your pieces. Please note that, on day 2, you'll be finished by about 12.30pm.
