Join this enlightening and intensive three day Spirit Animal Stitching workshop with The Pale Rook. In this brand new course you will use Johanna’s signature style of free-form art doll making to create animal familiars. The focus will be on recognising the sparks and seeds of ideas, how to nurture them and then develop them to bestow your own personal influences and narratives onto your stitched creations. You’ll be working with collage, found objects, and a variety of free form doll making methods to create an animal that is entirely personal and meaningful to you. Many of these methods have been developed by Johanna in her own doll making practice. Using intuitive design methods, you will create an animal that is full of character, and unique and meaningful to you, reflecting the stories that resonate with you.
