Step inside the Fake Food Workshop studio in Kirkcudbright for a two-day course focused on the craft of sculpting realistic food forms. Choose to create either a detailed faux fry-up—complete with toast, mushrooms, and glazed eggs—or a display of classic pâtisserie, from piped tarts to colourful macarons. You’ll learn how to cast, tint, paint, and assemble your own collection of sculpted food using Jesmonite, resin, and clay.
Led by professional maker Kerry Samantha Boyes, each session offers hands-on guidance in a relaxed studio setting, with small groups to ensure plenty of personal support. Whether you're interested in sculpture, prop making, or the visual culture of food, this class introduces specialist techniques through practical, creative exploration.
All materials are provided, and your finished pieces will be carefully dried and posted to you after the workshop—a lasting reminder of your time in the studio.
