Closing date: 26 Oct 2020
As part of Engage Scotland’s response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, they have adapted their training and events programme to a digital format using Zoom for the next few months.
Working with Children in Scotland and NSPCC Scotland, Engage have developed two training sessions in child protection followed up with a webinar covering online safeguarding when working digitally with children and young people.
This training is for people working in Scotland.
Whilst the child protection systems are different in each of the UK’s four nations, they are all based on similar principles. Scotland has its own framework of legislation, guidance and practice to identify children who are at risk of harm.
This training comprises three elements:
- two training sessions on child protection. Participants will receive a CPD certificate in introduction to child protection
- a webinar covering online safeguarding when working digitally with children and young people in the visual arts
Training delivered online by NSPCC Scotland via Zoom
Engage are running the initial child protection for all training over two sessions in groups of 12 people so please book for either Group 1 or Group 2 as below. The online safeguarding webinar will bring both groups together.
