Creative Scotland invite individuals and representatives of organisations to join us for a morning of learning and collaboration with Leeds Creative Timebank, Creative Dundee, Creative East End and artist Ailie Rutherford.
Closing date: 20 Nov 2019
Creative Industries freelancers, microbusiness and artists, join up for breakfast and be part of the inital conversation toward developing a mutual support system for creative communities in Scotland that takes money out of the picture. We will learn from Leeds Creative Timebank’s decade of experience in solving this challenge. This will act as a jumping off point to consider how the ideas and experience resonate with work that’s happening in creative communities around the country.
The morning will include:
- a talk from representatives from Leeds Creative Timebank who will talk about all they’ve learned in their 10 years of sustainable operation
- a provocation / ideas and inspiration from Scotland based artist Ailie Rutherford to get us thinking
- facilitation to help us dig into the local networks, the strengths that are already there and what practitioners identify as a priority for local development
- look at next steps
Creative Scotland’s Creative Industries team is always looking for ways to help sustainable creative businesses in Scotland develop and grow. If you have questions about the event you can contact Creative Industries Officers Jackie Stewart and Ashley Smith Hammond.
