Gillian Stewart is opening up her studio for a very small number of places this winter, sharing some skills and creating beautiful objects together. A perfect chance to gather with a friend for a quiet day of making, fueled by festive refreshments.
Led by a professional bookbinder (Gillian!), you’ll learn how to make a bespoke A5 keepsake box by hand, using traditional and contemporary techniques. You’ll leave with a one-off box to gift for Christmas or keep for yourself.
What’s really special about this structure is that it uses hidden magnets to close neatly, and you’ll foil block a name or phrase on the lid to make it unique.
There will be an abundance of high-quality materials to choose from, and because you are gathering in the studio you’ll have access to the full range of equipment & materials.
Saturday the 11th of December, 10 am-5 pm
£90 per person including all materials and festive refreshments
