We have been notified by our venue partner City Art Centre, that the building's only lift has a serious engineering fault. The complexity of its repair means that it will not be operational for the duration of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair.

This means that access to our gallery space on the fourth floor will be via escalator (up) and stairs (down). We are currently addressing the significant impact this has on delivering a fully accessible event.

Craft Scotland strongly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy, learn about and participate in contemporary craft. We are committed to increasing access to our programme and events and are deeply disappointed by this change in the venue’s accessibility.

We are exploring ways to adapt our programme to ensure that HARVEST provides opportunities for everyone to have meaningful experiences with contemporary craft.

This could involve online access to talks, digital presentations of the exhibition and the use of alternative accessible spaces in the building for our workshop programme. As we confirm the ways forward within practical and budgetary constraints, we will update ticket holders, visitors and online audiences through our digital channels.

If you are hoping to attend HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair and have any questions or access requirements you would like to discuss, please reach out to the Craft Scotland team at programmes@craftscotland.org
